Volume 25
A review that made me like Wes Anderson again. Posh and Becks. Taylor and Olivia and Molly. Jung stuff. An episode with the women who can get your brand covered in Refinery29 and Vogue. ✨ And more.
Hi and welcome to Volume 25 of Content People.
Let’s get into it.

The Content People Episode
🎧 This week we talked to Elise Labau and Florencia Cavallo - cofounders of the very cool PR firm Stories Consulting.
Stories Consulting primarily works with female-founded, mission-driven brands. Think: start-ups in the lifestyle, beauty, wellness, fashion, and women's health space.
These are the ladies who can get your brand covered in outlets like Refinery29, Vogue, The Cut, New York Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, and more.
Our convo covered:
How they nurture and respect their partnership.
Scope creep and people-pleasing.
Why big agency teams often fail where boutique firms thrive.
Building a moat around your brand. 🏰
The advice they’d give all new founders.
Find it here or wherever you get your podcasts.
PS. Content People’s on insta now. And so is Stories Consulting.
Listening
👂 The Ten Percent Happier Podcast
Last week I recommended a Ten Percent Happier interview with Alicia Menendez. This week I want to rec another TPH ep: How to Speak Clearly, Calmly, and Without Alienating People. Very good - esp. for managers.
👂 This Jungian Life
The US is polarized as a country. Are our inner worlds also polarized? Really enjoyed the latest ep of This Jungian Life with Donald Kalsched. Listened twice - probably need further listens to really absorb it.

⭐ This story. SEO, PR & Taylor Swift collide. How could I not include this?
The tea: Did Taylor Swift go to that Jet’s game just to replace the Taylor Swift Google results about her private jet usage/CO2 emissions?
If Molly McPherson says yes then it’s a yes. I’m not even mad.
But wait. There’s more. Then Olivia Wilde shaded Taylor via a swiftly-deleted (😉) tweet. Let’s head over to Jack Mac for all the juicy details on that. (Love following Jack, too.)

📚 Clara of ColorMeLoverly’s Beckham coverage. “Unexpectedly, I’m a fan.” Same. Clara was on Content People a few weeks ago. Her ep was a big hit - you can check it out here.
📚 Wes Anderson’s latest films - French Dispatch, Asteroid City - have felt less emotionally accessible to me than his earlier work. But Richard Brody’s New Yorker reviews gave me a different perspective on what the director’s getting at. Enjoyed his piece on Anderson’s new, Netflix short films here. And his review In Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City The Artist is Present.
📚 Andrea Isabelle Lucas recommended The War of Art during her Content People interview. Finished it last week. It’s a helpful (and quick) read for anyone doing creative work. When I posted about it on Linkedin it seemed to resonate.
